Aerial Bunch Cable (AB) is a very noble concept for overhead power distribution when compared to the conventional bare conductor in overhead distribution system. AB Cable provides higher safety and reliability, lower power loses and ultimate system economy by reducing operative cost. It provides Lower distribution cost by restricting and anti-tapping. XLPE insulated power conductors of aluminum are laid together twisted around an aluminum alloy bare or insulated messenger wire to form AB Cables. These cables are directly strung on distribution polls by means of hardware.
